Speedy September

A blurr for sure....back to school. Joel in grade 12 and Jeff in grade 9 head off to seminary each morning. My goal was to make breakfast for them every morning and I think I met my goal...ugh...twice. Too many late nights studying and working on assignments interfered but I'm ready to try again!!

Joel is now 17 years old. I love him so and want to hang on to each moment with him 'cuz experience has taught me that time travels too fast...the house gets emptier.

Two car accidents in less than one-week will be hard to live down. The amazing thing is that I didn't get injured although I feel really bad for the university student in Edmonton whose insurance is going to be REALLY expensive after the AUDI gets repaired. I miss my car already and still don't know when it will be fixed from the "Tim Horton Terror" domino effect. I'm staying far away from coffee drinking drivers from now on!! Sad that I was just trying to make sure the boys had milk for cereal before leaving for seminary when the whole fiasco happened. Kevin is overjoyed that our insurance is going up some more....is that possible when it is already more than our mortgage??

Kevin has proven again that he really is "Superman" while I've been the "studious student-wife". Running his non-profit food cooperative, purchasing and canning peaches, pears, tomatoes, salsa....ordering apples, picking strawberries, making supper or going without. He had no idea that this "little" course that I'm taking was going to turn our lives upside down.

Jeff and Joel had many opportunities this month to give service to ward members by sealing their wheat into mylar bags and loading and unloading pallets of fruit. Dallin is recovering from strep throat and sad that he's not singing in the missionary choir for general conference this weekend.

It was great to see the Kay family and celebrate Uncle Henry's 65th birthday and Dad Kay's birthday too. We love you!!

I'm looking forward to listening to general conference (www.lds.org) and talks from our prophet and apostles this Saturday and Sunday, October 5&6. Celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary, thanksgiving, Helen's birthday (same day as the federal election), my birthday (& Shelly's), and halloween --- makes October oodles of fun!

This may be the only post until the end of October. Hopefully we'll remember that we have a camera and post some pics.

Each day is a present - open each one with anticipation and excitement!
