The days are definitely zooming by way too fast. Working is getting harder every day. I'm planning on taking the Hospital Unit Clerk course at Bow Valley College while I upgrade my math, physics and chem. The long range plan is to become an ultrasound tech eventually. I figure working as a Hospital Unit Clerk will get me "in the zone" and see if I like it. I'm sooo done working with 13/14 year olds and trying to get them to buckle down and do school!!! I'm just gonna enjoy my own!
The saturday b4 Mother's Day, Joel, Kevin and I had driven into Calgary to have winter tires replaced with all-seasons when Kevin's cell phone rang. It was Dallin - Andrew was on the phone with his mother's day telephone call. My car tires were switched first and I zoomed home. Dallin got the longest chat with Andrew. We tried to have Kevin hear Andrew's conversation via my cell phone - not recommended...too much feedback and too hard to hear. Joel arrived home next and chatted a bit with Andrew, then finally Kevin arrived home and got to talk to Andrew. Jeff didn't have much to say. We all really enjoyed our visit. Andrew has picked up a "Utah drawl" from the Wasatch boys in his mission. Andrew explained a lot of cultural things and we have a better understanding of conditions in Cameroon. We are grateful for "internet" phones for the closeness that we felt as a family.
Dallin and Joel went to a high school grad party and arrived home at about 4 a.m. so Kevin kicked into high gear on mother's day and made his usual wonderful brunch. It was nice to have him home on Sunday morning instead of at meetings. Our bishopric distributed chocolates for the Mom's - I loved that!! We enjoyed dinner at Takahashi's and catchin up on their lives. Of course we had to hurry home quick so Kevin could get the honey orders in for our ward.
This past weekend we christened the sea doos at Sheerness (Prairie Oasis Prov. Park) about 15 minutes from Hanna and about 45 minutes from Drumheller. I'll post more later. gtg to work... love ya!
