Later...on the driveway...Dallin was emptying the Lumina of its entire pond-soaked contents. Remember all of Andrew's adventures last year on "the gravel road" to work south of Glenmore trail??? - losing control and nearly missing the power pole? the fence posts that almost went through the brand-new windshield? etc...
yup! On the same gravel road a gravel truck was coming straight towards Dallin as he was headed home for the day. Due to all the rain the ditches were overflowing the road in places - Dallin moved over to avoid getting hit by the gravel truck and the road gave way! The Lumina on the passenger side quickly filled with water. Dallin's cell phone was dead again...hiking to a farmer's residence...calling and waiting for the tow truck...ADVENTURE. To make matter's more memorable...the tow truck driver took a picture of Dallin and his car to put on the "wall" at work!! The tow truck driver was the dad of one of the guys Dallin went to middle school with. The guy Dallin went to school with is a new dad to a little boy born this month - working at the chip factory to support his girlfriend and son.
All removable pieces of Dallin's car - seats, carpets, door panels etc. have been on our driveway and in and out of the shed trying to dry between rain storms....
It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!!! The gravel road has now been labelled "the devil's highway or Road 666"!
We still love you Dallin!!!! It's just premission opposition at it's best!!
