Thanks for visiting Shelly!

This past month has been a whorl-wind. Kevin & I celebrated our 22nd Anniversary on 12 October 2007. I decided to go visit my Mom and Dad on Thursday, 11 October in Raymond. Just after I arrived, Helen popped in to invite me to her birthday dinner at Tony Roma's. My favorite part of the "birthday party" was the laughter provided by Jim and Jeff Coppieters in Helen's explorer on the way to and from the restaurant. I think Jeff and Jim should do stand-up comedy and charge $$$$. I would definitely love to spend time with both of them and Helen more. Laughter is such good medicine!

Kevin and I enjoyed attending the Cardston Temple and a night alone in Lethbridge. We returned to Airdrie in time to go to Joel's football game on 13 October 2007.

Dallin is busy now that wrestling season is in full-force. Making weight is sometimes challenging and I admire his constant self-discipline.

Joel's latest mantra is "I do what I want!" He is a great guy and looking forward to going to Germany with the school at Spring Break 2008. Unfortunately for him - I get to go as one of the chaperones - yee haw! Jeff, Joel and I all have our passports now.

I enjoyed celebrating my 44th birthday with friends. We went bowling and enjoyed an Italian dinner at a local restaurant. It was pretty memorable - I managed to get a "Fred Flinstone" baby finger from the bowling ball return. And who knew that Airdrie had skilled musicians that are also matre'd's at Bella Italia. One played love songs clearly "note for note" on the harmonica for at least an hour. The other gentleman sang love songs as our evening came to an end.

One of my friends invited me to a special birthday lunch - such a cool surprise. Another friend decorated the piano in the relief society room with a "happy birthday" sign, streamers, wrapping paper on the bench and smarties on the piano keys. I also enjoyed going for lunch with Judy. I love spending one on one time with the VIP's in my life.

I've made numerous trips to Raymond to visit my dad who is very ill. I typed up his handwritten history and will work on a special "biography" assignment with Judy.

A highlight of this past week was enjoying time with Shelly, Betty Lou, Marilyn, Judy, and Helen. Visiting Amelia, Brynlee, Riley and Addi Quinton, Lyndsi, Braxton, Bree, Becky Rompaine too.

Connecting with people I love is my favorite way to live!
